Make the most of the season with wonderful fall activities and outings! With cooler weather, outdoor activities can be so much fun!
Here are a few ideas to add enjoyment and excitement to you and your family:
Visit a local farm with crop mazes and hayrides. Some local farms include Rogers Farm in Gainesville, Coon Hollo Farm in Micanopy, Amazing Grace Crop Maze in Green Cove Springs, and Raisin Cane in Valdosta, GA.
Cheer on your local high school football team.
Relax with a book or play with your kids in the park.
Go for a bike ride or hike a trail at one of our local state parks. The Florida Department of Health in Columbia County hosts a community walk the 3rd Saturday of each month at O’Leno State Park.
Attend a fall festival or host your own and invite friends over. Check out the Miller’s Fall Family Celebration in Family Magazine‘s Fall 2016 issue for ideas! (Family Magazine can be picked up free at North Central Florida Advertiser and LakeCity4sale’s office, Chasteen’s in downtown Lake City, Fifth Generation Farms in Lake City, Cheek and Scott in Live Oak, and Sunsations of Jasper, to name a few!)
