The 20th annual Festival of Lights at the Stephen Foster State Folk Culture Center will feature over 5 million lights! Visit the park Dec. 5-31, during the evening until 9 pm, except Christmas night when the park will be closed. In addition to a spectacular display of lights, enjoy complimentary hot cocoa & popcorn in the Craft Square where there will be craft demonstrations, a bonfire, marshmallow roasting, & singing. The 30th annual Christmas on the Square will begin Friday night, Dec. 5, 5:30 pm, with The Jingle Bell Fun Run/Walk through downtown Live Oak to the historic Train Depot where there will be food live music, dancing, & fireworks. On Saturday, Dec. 6, enjoy “A Down Home Christmas” in downtown Live Oak with arts & crafts vendors, food vendors, a car show, agricultural & antique equipment exhibit, & live entertainment at Millennium Park. Dec. 6-24, 6 pm nightly, celebrate a Festival of Lights with Suwannee Lights at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park & Campground, Live Oak. Enjoy a wonderland tour of over 6 million lights & displays, drink hot cocoa, roast marshmallows, & meet Santa & his elves. Also, Puppetone Rockers will be performing nightly. Snow Day in Lake City on Dec. 13 will begin with Dashing to the Snow 5K for walkers & runners of all ages & abilities, 7 am. At 9 am, in addition to 30 tons of snow, enjoy live entertainment, food vendors, children’s activities including bounce houses, a 26 ft dual-lane slide, & a special appearance by Santa.
